Camp recount 2016.

From the 25th of October to the 28th or 29th most of Kauri team went to Chosen Valley at Ararimu for camp. We had two groups. One was our bunk buddies and the other group was our activities group. My bunk group was Aisea, Christopher, Ossian, Nate, Zac and Toby. My activities group was Ahmed, Lorenzo, Ossian, Millie, Nateesha, Hemi, Matteo for a bit, Charlotte for a bit and Lucianne.

My favourite activities were Flying fox and Go karts. I liked the flying fox because it went really fast and when we went to the other side of the lake I really liked the wind pushing on your face because you are going so fast. I also liked the part when we bashed into the tires because it felt really cool and on one side it hurt me. Phil who was on one side asked me what a thing on the harness was. It was the carabiner. I also really liked the go karts because it was also very fast. There were three levels so three difficulties. First one was red which is the most easy. Next was blue which was the second hardest. Finally the yellow which was the hardest. Not really. The blue was probably the hardest because it had the most turns. The yellow one was the fastest and the one with the sharpest turn. Some people in my group made it through the yellow but then when they turned to stop at the bottom of the hill they flipped over.

On the last night of camp we had a silent dinner which everyone that went to camp did. It is also like a tradition. I really liked the silent dinner but the bad thing was I had a sprained finger so I could not really write. But the food was wicked awesome. Nachos with mince, carrot and something else. We lasted pretty much the whole dinner. Well I did. When Alexis wrote “book at Plato” Lucianne thought I wrote it and did not know what it was. She thought it was plate and some other things that I forgot. This was our last dinner at Chosen Valley. For dessert we had this really nice pudding and when I finished it their was still some cream and chocolate bits so I mixed them together with my fork and ate it.

For our last lunch at Chosen valley we had hamburgers and since my mum got two for some reason she let me have some of her second one because she thought that she could not finish two wholes. That lunch was really good and everyone else thought that it was really good to. It was probably one of the best lunches that I have ever had apart from my dad's cooking. But to be honest I liked both the same.

When we were on the bus back to school I fell asleep and I kept trying to grab my hat. When I woke up my friend said that I tried to grab my hat but I missed put my hand in front of me and hit myself on the head pretending I had put my hat back on. But my hat was already on my head.

I really enjoyed camp. I got to enjoy time with my friends, try new activities and also I could enjoy lots of time away from my really annoying big brother who loved the time away from me as well. The only bad thing at camp was that I had two injuries (sprained finger) and (really hurt my leg)

Cyber bullying

In the first week back at school we had to make a google image about cyber bullying and here is mine. We also had to answer our own questions so number 1. I would feel really upset if someone cyber bullied me. 2. I would tell a trusted adult such as my mom or dad or a teacher. 3. No i would not otherwise that would make me just as bad as the person who did it to me.

100 word challenge

I was in the fifa world match and after ten fouls I finally got to kick the ball I shot it in and I scored. I was shouting so loud but something was not right. I just kept on going in the match but I just knew something was about to happen to all these people. Our goal keeper thought the same so we were on our highest alert. But then our enemy scored because we were off guard. We nearly got a goal but then I heard a loud noise suddenly everyone in the arena disappeared. NOOO I shouted.

We had to do a 100 word challenge and the challenge was we had to write something about " I heard a loud noise and suddenly everyone had disappeared." Here is my one. Hope you enjoy :-)

Matariki thinglink

On Matariki we made a Matariki thing link to show what we learned about Matariki.
We went to thinglink.com and signed up and created a new thing link, than we went to Google images and searched up Matariki but we had to make sure that it was free to use and we took a screenshot of it and uploaded it to thing link. We than made some pinpoints and wrote in some links and facts about Matariki.

100 Word story challenge

Reading a book waiting to get in my favourite restaurant. Still waiting to get in like a tiger waiting for its prey. But this is a good book. It is to full. I hear crunching and munching. Waiting. They need lots of tables and seats. So hungry like a lion with no food. Smell of food filling my nose. The sound of sizzling food. I know you are waiting to get in. Eat all that food like a scavenger on the hunt. Yeah totally. Wait. Did you just talk to me? Yes. you will never see me again. Disappearing forever...
